Feliks Audio Envy, released in 2021, was our first flagship output transformer-coupled headphone amplifier, seeing its debut at the High End Munich 2022. That is exactly when the Feliks Audio Envy and Hifiman Susvara pairing was first introduced, and immediately, we knew that we were dealing with one of the greatest pairings in the headphone realm. The Envy’s immense 8 Watts of Class-A power was the perfect match for the Hifiman Susvara, to this day one of the most demanding pairs of headphones on the market.

Since then, the original Envy has become one of the headphone community’s favorite amplifiers, winning community awards to this day. With time, more versions of the Envy have been released – initially, there were the Basic and Performance editions, then, to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary, a very limited and technically sophisticated, black piano Envy Anniversary Edition came out, becoming a benchmark for high-end headphone amplifiers. In 2025, the latest of the Envy came out – the Envy Susvara Edition.

“The Feliks Envy Performance was already an impressive summit-fi headphone amplifier. With Envy Susvara Edition, they brought it to a completely different level.” – Ear Fidelity

The differences between the Envy Susvara Edition and the Envy Performance are many, bringing the Susvara Edition very close to the level of the Envy 25th Anniversary Edition. One of the most notable changes, however, is the increase in power output. Envy Susvara Edition sports new gain settings: “low”, “high” (matching the “high” setting in the original Envy), and “Susvara”, which provides up to a 12% increase in power output. In practice, the Susvara Edition outputs up to 9 Watts of power, a significant step-up compared to the Envy Performance. Thanks to that, the Susvara Edition can power any headphones on the market, harnessing every ounce of your headphones’ potential.

Another improvement introduced in the Envy Susvara is the use of new amorphous-core output transformers. Envy 25th Anniversary Edition taught us how much difference this type of transformer can make; that’s why utilizing it in the most powerful Envy edition to date was obvious. Those custom-made components are meant to provide ultra-low noise and superior dynamics compared to other amplifiers in the summit-fi class. Another advantage of amorphous-core transformers is the incredible extension of the frequency response – nothing less than a must in an endgame headphone amplifier.

Picking the right 300B tube to unleash your amplifier’s full potential is no simple task. That is why the Envy Susvara Edition comes with some of the finest 300B tubes available – the Stradi S300B. This carefully matched premium 300B tube provides a great frequency response and a precise, detailed, and airy sound signature. This arrangement results in the most technical and detailed presentation achievable with your favorite headphones. Envy Susvara Edition is compatible with any 300B power tubes that have a standard filament voltage of 5 Volts, allowing you to tailor the amplifier’s sound to your specific needs.

Apart from the power tubes and transformers, several signal-critical components, like capacitors or resistors, have also been upgraded, matching the Envy 25th Anniversary Edition. Through the use of high-precision components from brands like Jantzen, Vishay, Nichicon, or Dale, we were able to maximize signal clarity and reproducibility. Additionally, thanks to improved signal wiring, better internal interference handling has been achieved through a number of modifications.

We have decided to leave no stone unturned when designing the Envy Susvara Edition, even on the micro scale – several tweaks have been made to ensure stabilization of tube parameters and enhance protection for tube-related failures. The pre-amp output has also been modified and optimized to reduce noise levels and adapt the construction to higher signal levels. The improvements introduced with the Envy Susvara Edition are many – large or small – and many of them stem from the lessons we learned thanks to the feedback of our customers.

Envy Susvara Edition sports a similar design to the Envy Anniversary Edition, with the main difference being the use of solid wood instead of a black piano finish. The luxurious wood finish is synonymous with the philosophy of Feliks Audio – crafted to perfection, for a true definition of endgame-quality audio. By default, the Susvara Edition is available in Wenge wood, but other finish options are available on request – ask your local Feliks Audio dealer about availability
